This year’s Karimikui offering is structured and dynamic with flavors ranging from melon, cherry, and lavender to red apple, citrus, and sugarcane.
The Karimikui factory is one of three factories that comprise Rungeto – the local Farmers Cooperative Society. Rungeto produces some of the most stunning coffees in Kenya, and quality control in Karimikui is multi-tiered.
Ripe cherries are sorted before they are pulped. Parchment is then fermented overnight and washed before being graded. Lastly, parchment is dried on raised beds for eight to fourteen days.
