Honduras Alexis Pineda

orange, caramel, pomegranate
El Sauce, Santa Barbara | Pacas | 1490 masl | Washed

Alexis Pineda is a farmer from the community of El Sauce, Santa Barbara. From a young age, Alexis’ father and grandfather taught him all aspects of coffee farming. After learning the ropes, his father gave him a plot of land previously used for conventional coffee production. Alexis became interested in the potential for specialty coffee after talking with friends, and decided to improve his cherry selection and processing techniques. This 100% Pacas lot shows the results of Alexis’ efforts. In the cup we taste notes of orange, caramel, watermelon, and pomegranate.

The Santa Barbara mountain region was significantly impacted by this year’s historically devastating hurricane season. Severe landslides have destroyed homes and displaced families in a community already affected by Covid-19. $10 from every bag purchased goes to the Rebuilding from Hurricane Eta fund.
