Guatemala El Bosque

plum, pear, dark chocolate
Chimaltenango | Bourbon & Caturra | 1600-1850 masl | Washed

El Bosque is a farm operating in the Chimaltenango region of Guatemala, run by a gentleman named Luis Pedro Zelaya. Luis Pedro also operates the Bella Vista Mill where coffees from several of the farms he manages are milled. Here, lot separation allows for greater quality and transparency and the Bella Vista team tries to keep a strict adherence to all agricultural activities on all the farms they manage to ensure high production and quality. The cherries are hand-picked by people from places near the farm, bringing a good source of employment to the community. We find that El Bosque brews an extremely sweet cup with notes of citrus, plum, pear, and dark chocolate.
