Layo Teraga is a five hundred member cooperative in northern Guji. Coffee here is harvested from some of the highest peaks in Ethiopia on semi-forested land, using natural vegetation as shade cover. The members deliver coffee to the nearby Hawata washing station and are also members of the Oromia Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Union. This year’s crop is a stunning example of the quality coming from this area with juicy notes of white peach, kiwi, honeydew, lemongrass, and lavender.
