This standout natural from Guji unfolds with rich layers of dried fruit and honeyed sweetness, evoking notes of apricot, mango, fruit compote, and dark honey.

This lot comes from Dari Bishan Fugu, Guji, where cherries from about 200 smallholders are combined with those from the Hassan family’s own 23-hectare “Buliye” farm. The Buliye site sits at 2,200 meters and is dedicated exclusively to natural processing. More than 200 raised drying beds, built from split bamboo for strength and airflow, line the hillside. Because the site receives limited direct sunlight, drying naturals can take up to three weeks, encouraging slow, even development. The mill itself is certified organic, though this lot was not purchased under certification.

The result is a coffee that reflects both its high-altitude environment and the deliberate pace of its production. It’s notable for its refined sweetness, syrupy texture, and sense of balance—qualities that reveal the care invested at every stage, from selective cherry collection to extended drying. The Buliye site continues to produce coffees that feel both expressive and composed, shaped by patience, altitude, and craft.
