Burundi Gahahe

clove, peach, maple
Kayanza | Bourbon | 1800 masl | Washed

A perennial favorite, this year’s Gahahe harvest offers notes of clove, peach, ginger, and maple.

Gahahe is a washing station located in Kayanza, Burundi’s northern province that borders neighboring Rwanda. It sits at just over 1800 meters above sea level, and is a collection site for roughly 600 local farmers who are also station members. Most farmers here are growing bourbon exclusively, and their coffees have placed in numerous Cup of Excellence competitions.
